Wedding Booking Process & FAQs


In order to make your wedding or elopement as picture-perfect as possible, I want to work with you to coordinate all the fine details and make sure all of your questions are answered before the big day. Below you will find my booking process and frequently asked questions about weddings & events, but please do not hesitate to contact me directly with your own inquiries!

Booking Process


  1. Inquiry - Send me a message! I would love to know more about you, your wedding plans (wherever you are at in the process), and what you are looking for as a photographer. I will respond within 48 hours of your inquiry.
  2. Free Consultation Meeting - We will schedule a meeting to talk face-to-face (or screen-to-screen) about your big day! I use this time to learn more about your vision, but to also get to know you as a couple.
  3. Pricing Guide - I will forward you a guide of my current packages and pricing, so you can take your time and choose what best fits your needs and your budget.
  4. Let's book! - If you'd like to move forward with booking, I will ask you to complete just a few steps: fill out a short questionnaire, sign a 25% non-refundable deposit is due upon signing your contract. During our consultation meeting, we can work together to figure out a payment plan leading up to your wedding day. Typically, the remaining 75% is due no later than 7 days following the wedding, but if more payment dates are necessary, we can discuss! (Please note, the full gallery cannot be delivered until the balance has been paid in full)
  5. Constant communication - between our initial planning and your day, feel free to reach out to me about anything! Questions, concerns, changes to your plans - I love for us to stay in the loop and keep connected at all times.
  6. Engagement session - If included in your package, let's plan to do your engagement photos anywhere from 6 months to a year before your wedding! These make great save-the-date cards, and help you celebrate your love on many occasions.
  7. 6-Months Out Check-In - Let's schedule a call to check in and see how you're doing! I'm happy to provide vendor recommendations, give timeline planning tips, and start thinking about how you want your photos to look and feel. This is a great time to start creating a Pinterest board or an album of inspiration photos.
  8. Timeline & Details Meeting - about 2-4 weeks before your wedding day, we will reconnect to go over specifics of the day! This includes arrival times, what the timeline of your day looks like, any specific shots or requests you have, and any last-minute details to cover.
  9. YOUR BIG DAY! - When your special date finally arrives, I will be sure to promptly follow our timeline, get acquainted with you and your wedding party, and make sure that your vision comes to life.
  10. Sneak Peeks - I will deliver sneak peek photos to you within 48 hours following your wedding! This will be a smaller gallery of about 10-20 photos of all the highlights of your day.
  11. Final Delivery - Within 6 weeks following your wedding date, I will deliver a full digital album to you with all of your edited images. For smaller weddings and elopements, this will be anywhere from 100-250 photos, and for larger events, you should expect at least 400-600 edited photos!
  12. Stay in touch! This is only the beginning of your journey, so as you embark on your beautiful life together, let’s keep in touch for more lifestyle-based shoots. This could be family portraits, more couples photos together, other events or parties - whatever you can imagine.

Any 2027 weddings booked before July 1, 2026 will honor pricing listed on the Services page. After July 1, pricing will increase to meet 2027 needs, as listed in the guide above.

FAQ

What is your shooting style or approach?

A.My philosophy is - the more natural, the better. I want to capture you as authentically as possible, which means trying for lots of candid moments, making sure you feel comfortable in front of the camera, and that your vision is brought to life. In terms of editing, I also aim for more natural edits, bright colors, and making sure nothing looks too “over edited”. For examples of how my final products typically come out, check out my Work Samples page! This is also something we can discuss in our pre-event meetings, especially if you have any specific requests for how to shoot or edit.

What packages or pricing options do you offer?

A.All of my packages & pricing are listed on my Services page. All packages include free consultations and pre-wedding meetings, and many include a FREE engagement shoot if that interests you! I am also happy to discuss your budget with you to determine what would work best for you.

Do you have a second shooter?

A.I typically prefer to have a second shooter, in order to ensure that every moment is captured and perfected. Second shooters do come with an extra hourly fee for the intimate wedding package, but are included fully in the traditional wedding package. Their role is to assist in making sure all of your specific shot requests are covered, take photos from alternate angles, and assist with equipment changes or the unlikely event of a camera malfunction.

What is your policy on travel and accomodations?

A.I try to book weddings within a 1-2 hour drive from Boston, MA. In some cases, a travel fee may be added for long distances. If your destination requires accommodation, I ask that that also be covered by the client, typically for one to two nights depending on distance and timeline of the event.

I am also open to traveling outside of New England! Let me know where you are thinking and I will see if your destination is a fit.

How do you handle payment and deposits?

A.UPDATED POLICY FOR 2027: A 25% deposit is due upon signing your contract with me, in order to lock in your date. An additional 25% is due one month before your wedding, and the final payment (remaining 50%) is due 1 week before your wedding. The timeline can be flexible based on your needs, and something we can discuss in your initial meeting!

How long after the wedding will we receive our photos?

A.Sneak peek photos will be delivered within 48 hours of your wedding, and the final digital gallery will be delivered within 6 weeks following your date!

Do you offer albums or prints?

A.*Shhh it’s a secret* As my gift to you, I like to send a small album to you within a month or so following your special day! If you would like to purchase an album or prints, these are available through the digital gallery that you receive. I also offer a full professionally curated album as an add-on to all wedding packages!
