What types of photography do you specialize in?
A.I specialize in portrait and lifestyle photography, capturing moments that reflect your personality and lifestyle. This includes solo portraits, headshots, couples photos, maternity shoots, and group sessions, as well as weddings and events.
How do I book a session?
A.You can book a time slot directly through my Booking page! Choose your type of session, date, and time, and I'll handle the rest :)
If you're not sure entirely what you're looking for, sending me an email is the best way to start! Reach out to me at emwilliamsphoto@gmail.com with what you are looking for, what date(s) would work best for you, and the location(s) you have in mind. I’ll take it from there and together we will coordinate to book your ideal session!
Do you offer consultations before a session?
A.Yes, I am happy to meet with you for a free, pre-session consultation to discuss your expectations, style preferences, and any special requests you may have. This is completely optional but if it makes you feel more prepared or comfortable, don’t hesitate to ask!

How long does a typical session last?
A.Sessions usually last between 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the type of shoot and the number of locations we plan to cover. I also occasionally host holiday or seasonal mini-sessions, which are half hour sessions on certain dates and locations at a discounted rate!
How long does it take to get my photos back?
A.I try to offer fast turnaround time for your final edited photos. Solo portraits are typically delivered within 7-10 days of your session, group portraits are delivered within 7-14 days following your session, event photos about 2 weeks following the event, and wedding photos about 4-6 weeks following your special day.
I'm not sure the best time or location to take my photos. Can you help?
A.Of course! The recommended time for portraits is sunset or sunrise. I typically try to book around an hour before sunset, to maximize our time with the best lighting. For locations, please see my Location Guides (linked at the top of this page) for some ideas, or reach out to me directly! I am happy to provide suggestions and generate ideas with you.
What should I wear for my photoshoot?
A.I recommend wearing outfits that make you feel comfortable and confident. Neutral colors and simple patterns work well, but we can discuss specific ideas based on the location and theme of the shoot. For families or groups, I recommend coordinating rather than matching - pick a color scheme and go from there!

What should I bring to the session?
A.All you are required to bring is yourself! But, if you have any props or personal items that you would like to include or feature in your photos - such as a favorite book, something related to a hobby, or a meaningful heirloom - you are more than welcome to do so and we can discuss ideas together as well!
Can I bring a friend or family member to my session?
A.Absolutely! Having someone you’re comfortable with can help make the experience more enjoyable and relaxed.
What if the weather is bad on the day of my session?
A.I typically try to coordinate a rain date with you, and am happy to reschedule your shoot to a day or time that works best for both of us.
Do you offer prints or albums?
A.High quality prints are available for purchase through your gallery, but digital downloads are completely free! I'd also be happy to recommend third-party printers that can print your images for you, if you'd prefer to go that route.
How much do you charge per session?
A.All of my prices are listed on my Services & Pricing page, and vary based on the size, duration, and type of session. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly! And if you have budget constraints, I am happy to work with you to create a package that meets your needs.
Do you require a deposit?
A.Yes, a 25% deposit is required to secure your booking, and is due 7 days before your session. The remaining balance is due within 7 days following the session.
What is your cancellation policy?
A.If the Client cancels the Services more than 3 days before the scheduled date, the Client will receive a full refund of the deposit.
If the Client cancels the Services less than 3 days before the scheduled date, the deposit will receive a 50% refund of the deposit.
If the Client cancels the Services less than 24 hours before the scheduled date, the deposit will be non-refundable.
Rescheduling is subject to the Photographer's availability and must be requested at least 3 days in advance.
Can I post my photos on social media?
A.Yes please do! I just ask that you tag me or give me credit (@emwilliamsphoto on Instagram and Facebook) if you are willing and able. Thank you!
